Podcast host Joe Rogan recently reflected on his interview with former President Donald Trump.

Rogan mentioned several points to remember he pulled from the landmark episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” he had with Trump on Friday, noting that the former president is genuine and funny. He also marveled at being able to hold a focused interview for more than three hours.

“He has this ability to keep going. That’s the crazy thing, like the podcast was three hours long. The guy didn’t pee before the podcast. He didn’t pee after the podcast. He’s just gone,” said the host. guests Eddie Bravo, Brendan Schaub and Bryan Callen during the latest episode of his podcast.

Rogan’s guest brought up the interview on Saturday, when they asked him if he was “nervous” about sitting down with the former president, although Rogan said he was more ” excited” and “excited” than anything else.

“I was really excited. I was excited, because I wanted to — there were a lot of questions that I had to answer,” he said, denying that he felt any pressure to perform in a certain way, and claiming he had prepared for the conversation in advance.

Rogan’s first observation about Trump’s personality was that he likes to start speaking and end up in a completely different place.

“He’s really good at – you ask him a question, and he starts to answer it, but then he takes you down a totally different path… But you have to bring him back, but you have to be respectful.”

The host said that although they talked about it a bit, he wanted to know more about how Trump actually felt on his first day in the White House in January 2017.

“I want to know what that first f—— day is like, and I don’t really think I got that answer from him.”

What also struck Rogan was how much of a natural comedian Trump is, which is something many people chafe at in a president.

“The problem with Trump’s stuff is just that people look at the incendiary things he says, the crazy shit, and they define him by that,” Rogan said.

“You also have to remember that he’s a very weird combination of an artist and a businessman… He’s like a comedian, man. He says some funny shit,” he said. he said, adding: “What I mean is, people don’t know what to do with this, and they want to pretend that all these other people are somehow morally better because you don’t really see them.

Rogan later revealed that the three-hour interview was the first real conversation he had ever had with Trump, whom he described as a “businessman, at the end of the day.”

“He likes to close deals. That’s what it is. That’s his whole thing.”

He also mentioned that he was impressed by how Trump continued to function without needing to use the restroom or fetch water.

“He sat here and we talked,” he said, adding that Trump’s team was “freaked out” because it was going on so long and encroaching on the government’s schedule. Trump.

“He didn’t care. He was like, ‘I know it’s going to be bigger than that.'”
