Why the court is stopping Rivers’ award

The court verdict, delivered by Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, said funds from the federation account should not be released to the state until a federation account is validly constituted. House of Assembly adopts a lawful appropriation law.

However, with Fubara’s refusal and assurance to appeal the court’s decision, it is clear that the situation is being handled through legal channels, prioritizing the rule of law and a peaceful resolution.
