His race day style became a kind of inspiration for fashion-conscious sportswomen – and last weekend was no different, when Zara Tindall went out to Cheltenham An impeccably chic racecourse for the November Meeting.

Princess AnneThe daughter visited Cheltenham alone on Saturday, wearing a dark khaki tailored coat from Fairfax and Favor, a popular brand in the countryside. The ‘Amélia’ style features a fitted, double-breasted silhouette, accented by brass buttons and herringbone pockets, and reminiscent of the kind of military-style cut favored by Tindall’s cousin, the princess of waleswho often sports stylish pieces from Alexander McQueen. Tindall paired her coat with a frilly white shirt and brown leather gloves, adding tan suede boots and a matching bag. Instead of a hat, she accessorized it with a sea green knotted headband.

The outfit followed a tried-and-true Tindall formula: In April, she stepped out with her husband, Mike, wearing a double-breasted khaki trench coat from Fairfax and Favor and the same shoulder bag, this time in black; she paired the look with suede heeled boots and another headband. But while her style on the racetrack has become a staple, Tindall is also adept at dressing for black-tie occasions, as she showed off a few weeks ago.

On November 9, Tindall stole the show in a striking dress by Rebecca Vallance, which she wore to present 22-year-old Scottish jockey Patrick Wadge with the Caledonian Spirit Award, given annually to a young personality who captures the “true spirit of the race”. ‘. Tindall paired the abstract floral dress with Calleija’s 18k rose gold and diamond ‘Arella’ oval multi-hoop earrings, and slipped on a pair of Aquazzura ‘Forever Marilyn’ black suede pumps – which are also a favorite of Meghan Markle. This isn’t the first time Tindall has leaned on Vallance’s sculptural designs: in June, she chose to wear a bright blue dress with dramatic puffed sleeves from the brand for the third day of Royal Ascot.
