Maharashtra bypolls: The BJP, which contested 149 seats in the recent Maharashtra polls, stands alone in winning around 130 seats, taking the party’s strike rate to 88 per cent.

2024 Assembly Election Result

The 2024 Maharashtra election result shows that the BJP-led Mahayuti won and came to power with an overwhelming majority. The alliance, which also includes Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) and NCP (Ajit Pawar) – is expected to win over 200 of the 288 assembly seats, recording the alliance’s best performance in western India .

The BJP alone is expected to win 131 of the 149 seats it contested for in the November 20, 2024 Maharashtra elections, achieving an impressive strike rate of nearly 88 percent.

The party’s previous best performance was in 2014, when it won 122 seats in the state polls.

In the last Maharashtra polls in 2019, the BJP won 105 seats but failed to form the government as the then undivided Shiv Sena left the NDA due to power-sharing issues.

Meanwhile, according to the Congress, which contested 101 seats, based on the latest trend of
Maharashtra Election Result 2024is leading with 19 seats with a strike rate of only 19 percent.

Which party has the best strike rate after BJP?

The Shiv Sena’s Eknath Shinde faction trails the BJP with a strike rate of 68 percent, as 55 of the 81 candidates were leading the race.

The strike rate of the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) was also 68 per cent, with 40 of its 59 contesting candidates leading.

Meanwhile, the strike rate of Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (SP) stood at 21 per cent and 13 per cent respectively.
