Four men were arrested in Bukit Batok on November 9 after they were found without valid passes or travel documents.

Another 23-year-old man was also arrested for allegedly being a prohibited immigrant in Singapore.

Banned immigrants should not enter the country unless they receive a special pass.

In response to The mothership In response to questions, police said a enforcement operation was carried out in the forested area near Bukit Batok Nature Park at around 12:25am.

According to Lianhe Zaobaothe men reportedly entered Singapore by sea but were discovered by coastguard police.

They were then chased by police to Bukit Batok Nature Park and arrested after a 13-hour search.
