PC Partner Moves Headquarters to Singapore Amid US GPU Export Restrictions

teasing

PC Partner, known for its Inno3D and Zotac brands, has moved its headquarters from Hong Kong to Singapore. The move means the company is now registered in Singapore, a move reportedly made to circumvent US GPU export restrictions aimed at China. By moving, PC Partner seeks to continue its operations without facing the limitations imposed by these export controls, thereby ensuring that its presence in the global market remains stable. The company also plans to set up production lines in Indonesia to make versions of the upcoming Nvidia RTX 50 series graphics cards. According to Chinese technology website Hkepc, Nvidia is evaluating whether PC Partner is subject to US GPU export restrictions . This assessment is crucial with the planned release of the RTX 50 series, as high-end GPUs in this series could be subject to stricter US export regulations. By relocating production to Indonesia, PC Partner aims to comply with these regulations while continuing to produce and distribute its graphics cards.

With the current decline in Sino-US relations, US controls on exports of high-tech products are expected to become stricter. As the world’s second largest graphics card manufacturer, PC Partner faces significant challenges in these conditions. Staying in Hong Kong could limit the company’s access to Nvidia’s advanced GPUs in the future. To mitigate this risk, PC Partner has relocated its headquarters to Singapore and is now listed on the Main Board of the Singapore Exchange (SGX) under the stock code “PCT”. Additionally, shifting production from China to Indonesia allows brands like ZOTAC, INNO3D, and Manli to release new GeForce RTX 5090 models while complying with U.S. Department of Commerce export controls. Following the move to Singapore, reports suggest that Nvidia is reviewing PC Partner’s compliance with US regulations, which could lead to Nvidia supplying RTX 5090 GPUs to PC Partner brands.
