Person seriously injured in fire at NW Side apartment building: CFDThe Chicago Fire Department said one person was seriously injured in an apartment fire in the 3200 block of North Kostner Avenue in Belmont Gardens.

CHICAGO (WLS) — One person was seriously injured in a fire at a Northwest Side apartment building Sunday afternoon, a Chicago Fire Department public information officer said.

The CFD said the fire broke out at a three-story apartment building in the 3200 block of North Kostner Avenue in the Belmont Gardens neighborhood just before 4:30 p.m.

CFD transported one victim to Cook County Hospital in critical condition. Authorities did not provide details about that person’s injuries.

It was not immediately clear how the fire started.
