Elon Musk Shares Crazy Conspiracy About Why Ellen DeGeneres Left the US

Elon Musk shared a baseless conspiracy theory about comedian Ellen DeGeneres’ decision to move to the UK with her wife.

The billionaire, who is set to lead Donald Trump’s new Department of Government Effectiveness, shared a post on Thursday suggesting that DeGeneres left the United States “after the election” because of her past affiliation with Sean “Diddy” Combs.

A resurfaced post from DeGeneres in 2016 on X, then Twitter, sparked baseless theories about the platform.

“‘Happy Birthday, P Diddy, Puff Daddy, Sean Combs, or as I call him, Cuddle McSnugglestuff,” DeGeneres’ message read. “You don’t need to know why. @iamdiddy.

One user shared a screenshot of her post, commenting: “It makes sense that she fled the country after the election. » Musk then shared it again, adding the raising eyebrow emoji.

Combs was arrested in September on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. Federal prosecutors say Combs and his associates threatened, abused and coerced women and others around him “to gratify his sexual desires” – which allegedly included forcing victims to engage in recorded sexual activity which he called “Freak Offs”.

Musk’s post follows reports that DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi have moved to the UK. While rumors spread that the duo had left due to Trump’s election victory, the couple actually purchased the Cotswolds home in October, well before Election Day.

An anonymous source with knowledge of their move saidThe daily mail this week, DeGeneres and Rossi planned to take time off before the election — but are happy to get away with it after Trump’s victory.

“As things have gone with Trump’s victory, she is happy to make the move and move away from the United States,” the source said.

The Independent has reached out to DeGeneres’ rep for comment.

The billionaire’s post about DeGeneres came after an argument with Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos over X.

“Just heard tonight at Mar-a-Lago that Jeff Bezos was telling everyone that @realDonaldTrump would lose for sure, so they should sell all their Tesla and SpaceX stock,” Musk job early Thursday morning.

Bezos was quick to answer: “No. 100% false.”

“Well, I’m right,” Musk replied, accompanied by a laughing emoji.

Musk is not the first in Trump’s orbit to spread baseless claims about Combs.

Donald Trump Jr. previously peddled an unfounded conspiracy theory suggesting Combs was arrested so that celebrities affiliated with him would support his father’s opponent, Kamala Harris.

“We are once again seeing unprecedented levels of pay-to-play,” Trump Jr. said earlier this month. “Again, none of this is organic. It’s a paid influencer operation. Know it. Celebrities who aren’t getting paid are probably getting paid in some other way, because they’re either on an Epstein list or a Diddy party list, or both.

Trump Jr. has not presented any concrete evidence to support this claim or to link celebrities to Combs. Additionally, many of the celebrities who endorsed Harris showed support for Biden and Democratic candidates well before Combs’ arrest.
