ASUS Z890 motherboards allow BIOS update via .zip files

teasing

ASUS has improved its Z890 chipset motherboards for Intel processors by making BIOS updates easier. New Z890 motherboards now allow BIOS updates using ZIP files via the EZ Flash 4 interface. Users can download BIOS updates from the ASUS website and place the ZIP file directly on a USB key without having to unzip it first. This change simplifies the process of updating motherboard firmware. Support for ZIP files in the EZ Flash 4 interface does not affect computer performance or stability. However, this makes BIOS updates more accessible, especially for those who prefer manual updates.

While some systems like Windows can handle BIOS updates automatically, others require the user to update manually. EZ Flash 4’s improved interface is designed to be more user-friendly, making it easier for users who are not accustomed to BIOS updates. Additionally, the interface is now displayed in Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080p), providing a clearer view during the update process. These advancements are available on various ASUS Z890 motherboard models, including the ROG Maximus, ROG Strix, TUF Gaming, and ProArt series. At least a dozen models support the new Intel Core Ultra 200 processors. This update aligns with Intel’s release of processors based on the Arrow Lake architecture, following their previous Raptor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh models. . By improving the BIOS update process and supporting the latest Intel processors, ASUS and Intel aim to meet the needs of users who prioritize quality and ease of maintenance in their computer systems.
