The Graduate Aptitude in Engineering (GATE) 2025, a prestigious exam conducted annually for engineering and science graduates, has officially announced its exam schedule. Students can access the timetable on the official website of GATE-gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The exam is scheduled to be held on February 1, 2, 15 and 16, 2025. Mechanical Engineering (ME), Computer Science (CS) and Architecture candidates can revise the exam dates based on the specific exams. The exams will be conducted in two shifts: one will start from 9:30 a.m. and continue until 2:30 p.m. and the second shift will start from 2:30 p.m. and end at 5:30 p.m.

The application correction window has been extended by IIT Roorkee from November 10 to November 20, candidates will now be able to make changes to their application forms.

Key dates to remember

To prepare for the exam, candidates can also take mock tests, the links for which have been activated on the official website. Students will be able to download their admit cards from January 2, 2025 and the results are expected to be out by March 19, 2025.

The exam pattern of GATE 2025 will consist of three types of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Choice Questions (MSQs) and Numerical Type Questions (NATs).

By passing this national level exam, the candidate will be able to be admitted to pursue a Masters in Technology (MTech) and will have the chance to get direct admission into all the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology in India (IIT) as well as the National Institutes of Technology (NIT). Job prospects are also very high if a candidate clears the GATE exam he can land jobs as engineers and scientists in Public Sector Units (PSUs) and State Electricity Boards (SEBs).

The eligibility criteria for this exam is that a candidate must study in 3^rd year of any graduation course can apply. All students with a degree in subjects such as engineering, science, commerce, arts and architecture can apply for the exam.
