Teenager attacked in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu

Tirunelveli: A minor belonging to Scheduled Caste category was allegedly brutally attacked by a dominant caste (MBC) gang in Melapattam village in Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu. The 17-year-old boy was bleeding from behind his ear and a deep cut was visible on his leg.

According to the sources, an argument had broken out between the victim and the gang over their reckless driving of a car near his home early Monday. The parents of the victim, a second year polytechnic student, claim that in the evening, their son was alone in the house.

The same gang members came with others and entered the house. They allegedly attacked the 17-year-old boy with a beer bottle and a sickle. The gang also damaged household items before fleeing the scene.

The victim was later rushed to Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital and local police are investigating the matter.
