Several reports have confirmed that AMD processors Ryzen 7 9800X3D Gaming Champ is sold out in the United States and abroad. Europe is completely sold out in 9800X3D, 3DCenter.org on reports, to the point that shipments of said processors are already sold out before they have even been unloaded.

3DCenter reveals that Arlt, Alternate, Alza, Caseking, Hardwarecamp24, Mindfactory, Notebooksbiliger and ProShop are all sold out on 9800X3D. Computer Universe is the only reseller to still have stock available with its supply of 9800X3D at a price of €498. We did some digging and discovered that Orbit, Scan and AWD-IT are also out of stock in the UK. The only retailer we found that has stock is CLL with its 9800X3D priced at €519.99.

Availability is so low that Mindfactory is reportedly canceling pre-orders due to its inability to fulfill them. Additionally, the number of pre-orders the retailer has already racked up is so large that its next truckload of Ryzen 7 9800X3Ds is already sold out before it even arrives.

It remains to be seen how long the high demand will affect the availability of the 9800XD. The US also suffers from the same availability issues as Europe, leading to resellers charging over 50% of the MSRP for the 9800X3D on eBay. The only locations that appear to have remote or constant availability are some of MicroCenter’s physical locations.

It’s no surprise that the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is flying off store shelves. We found that AMD significantly underestimated the advertising performance of its 9800X3D; In our review we found the Zen 5 part to be almost 15% faster than its predecessor, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D – exactly the same jump we’ve seen since the Ryzen 7 5800X3D At Ryzen 7 7800X3D. Against Intel chips, the 9800X3D has virtually no competition, being over 40% faster than any of Intel’s fastest Raptor Lake and Arrow Lake processors.
