Saoirse Ronan talks about her celebrity lookalike on Thursday’s episode of The Tonight Show.

The 30-year-old actress – who went viral during a chat on The Graham Norton Show last week – was promoting her new film Blitz, currently in theaters in limited release ahead of its world premiere on Apple TV Plus on the 22nd november.

The actress was asked if she had recently heard about all the chatter online that she bears a striking resemblance to none other than singer Chappel Roan.

Ronan saw a recent tweet showing side-by-side photos of her and Roan, with the caption: “have you ever seen Saoirse Ronan and Chappell Roan in the same room?”

When host Jimmy Fallon asked her if she’d ever heard that, the actress said yes… from the singer herself.

‘I do. And the person who made me aware of it was Chappell, Ronan began, adding that she became so obsessed with her over the summer, like everyone else.

“And so, I went to her concert, and by chance the lovely Brie Larson was there too, who I know a little bit about,” she added.

Ronan added that Larson “brought one of her friends, and afterward, her friend was like, ‘I’m going to go. I’m going to talk to his parents.”

“And we were like, ‘No, you have to play it cool.’ We can’t let him know we love him as much as we love him,’” she said as the crowd laughed.

“And so he went there, and it turns out that his friend is from the same town as Chappell’s family,” the actress continued.

“Anyway, we went and I was playing really cool. She and Brie were talking in the corner,” Ronan said.

“And I was like, ‘Cool, I’ll – I’ll go.’ “And she called me and she was like, ‘Oh, everyone says we’re the same,'” Ronan said of their resemblance.

Fallon then produced a photo of the group including Larson, “proving that you are different people”, showing Ronan and Roan side by side.

She also spoke about her new film Blitz, revealing that she wanted to go “semi-retired” before landing the role.

‘I told my agent, ‘I’m kind of semi-retiring. And the only way I’m going to get through this is if someone like Steve Mcqueen comes along. Ha ha ha,’ she said. declared.
