Samsung has introduced a significant upgrade to its official Health app for Android, allowing users to easily manage their health records. Users can now seamlessly access their health records, manage their medications, and track their daily food intake all in one place.

This new feature is especially useful for people suffering from chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, PCOS, and PCOS, making it easier to adhere to their medication routine.

What makes this feature stand out is the fact that it has been designed specifically with Indian consumers in mind. Users can simply enter the name of their medication into the app to receive complete details, including general descriptions, potential side effects and essential safety guidelines. The application even warns of adverse effects linked to drug interactions.

Users can set reminders in the Samsung Health app to notify them when to take their medications and when to refill them.

These alerts can be customized to meet individual needs, allowing users to prioritize their prescriptions with reminder options ranging from “mild” to “strong”. Additionally, Galaxy Watch users will receive notifications directly on their wrists, helping them stay on top of their treatment routines even when they are away from their phone.

The Samsung Health app offers an advanced range of health features, including sleep management, mindfulness programs, irregular heartbeat notifications, and more. The introduction of the medication tracking feature in India will further strengthen Samsung’s commitment to creating holistic wellness experiences for its users, enabling them to live healthier and happier lives.

Kyungyun Roo, Managing Director, Samsung Research Institute, Noida, said, “We aim to create a comprehensive health platform that allows people to better understand and control their health by integrating devices and services. With the addition of the Medications for India feature in the Samsung Health app, we hope that users will be able to manage their medications more easily, improve their adherence, and ultimately maintain better health.

The medication tracking feature will be added to the Samsung Health app in India through app updates. According to the tech giant, the information provided is evidence-based and licensed by Tata 1mg. If you don’t see the new feature, try updating your Samsung Health app.
