Three areas tracked in the Atlantic as hurricane season enters last month

Another named storm not out of the question as Atlantic final month of 2024 hurricane the season starts Friday and the National Hurricane Center is follow three areas of potential development.

November 30 marks the end of Atlantic hurricane seasonand it can’t happen soon enough. In the meantime, three areas are worth watching as we count down the days.

Tents replace some North Carolina polling stations destroyed by Helene

Early voting is underway North Carolinaand the State makes it easier for people affected by Hurricane Helene to vote.

After so many towns and roads had been swept away by Helen flood and mudslides in western North Carolina, state officials decided to erect tents to serve as polling stations for Tuesday’s elections.

Seven tents were erected in four of North Carolina’s most devastated counties: Buncombe, Burke, Haywood and Yancey. Four tents are set up in Yancey County, while Buncombe, Burke and Haywood counties each have one.

Evacuation orders lifted in San Diego after bushfire near university

All evacuation orders have been lifted in parts of San Diego after a brush fire broke out near the San Diego State University campus.

THE The Montezuma/Fairmount Fire had burned nearly 40 acres as of Thursday afternoon. Authorities ordered the population to evacuate several neighborhoods west of the university, including a primary school.

As of Thursday evening, firefighters said 25 percent of the fire was contained. Six homes were damaged and no injuries were reported.
