Benoit Badiashile is among the list of central defenders being monitored by Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, according to reports.

Badiashile was one of several signings to arrive at Stamford Bridge in January 2023 as the Blues paid Monaco £35million for his services.

The 23-year-old slotted in seamlessly into Graham Potter’s struggling side and looked like he had been playing in the Premier League for years as he put in a string of impressive performances.

Unfortunately, the Frenchman suffered an injury towards the end of the 2022/2023 season which kept him sidelined for several months and significantly halted his progress.

Badiashile struggled to return to the team last season when he regained fitness, and when given opportunities he made a number of costly individual errors.

It’s fair to say that the former Monaco player is nothing like the player he was during his first six months at the club and he now finds himself down the pecking order.

Badiashile has only made one appearance in the Premier League this season and that came as a second-half substitute against Liverpool.

The bulk of his minutes were spent in cup competitions where he put in decent performances, but his lack of first-team action saw him linked with a return to France.

However, as the January transfer window approaches, rumors about Badiashile’s future have started to surface again, although Chelsea have recently insisted that The defender was not for sale and was considered part of the future of the project.

According to La Gazzetta du Sport Badiashile is among the centre-backs being monitored by Juventus, with the Italian club hoping to add another defender to the ranks after Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal both suffered ACL injuries.

The former Monegasque recently declared that he wanted stay at Chelsea and vowed to do his best to succeed at Stamford Bridgebut if an offer did come in that would test the club’s resolve, it would be interesting to see what the Blues would do and whether Badiashile would welcome the move.
