CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – UPDATE: One lane has been reopened on I-24 West after a multi-vehicle crash involving two tractor-trailers, according to the Clarksville Police Department.

Even though traffic has started to flow, it still remains blocked.

A portion of Interstate 24 West was “completely closed” after a multi-vehicle crash involving two tractor-trailers, according to the Clarksville Police Department.

Police said they were on the scene of a crash at Mile Marker 1 on westbound I-24 involving two vehicles and two tractor-trailers. The accident occurred around 8:05 p.m.

CPD said the Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

“Motorists are advised to find an alternate route until the roadway can be cleared,” CPD said.
