ICE Houston deported 25 illegal immigrants convicted of child sex crimes in the United States last month

More than two dozen illegal immigrants convicted of committing at least one child sex crime were deported in October, according to the ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Houston (ERO Houston) field office.

Among the 25 child sex offenders Those deported last month were illegal immigrants belonging to gangs, having been deported multiple times and repeatedly convicted of various crimes.

“The 25 non-citizens deported by ERO Houston last month entered the country illegally and then exploited the innocence and vulnerability of our children,” said Bret Bradford, ERO Houston Field Office Director , in a press release.

Although the office did not release the names of the criminals, they shared details on 10 of those deported.

Early October, ERO Houston deported two Salvadoran nationals; a 27-year-old man convicted of sexual assault of a child, resisting arrest and providing false information to law enforcement, and a twice-deported 58-year-old man convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child and illegal re-entry.

Fourteen days later, on October 16, a twice-deported 37-year-old Mexican national, who is a documented member of the Paisas gang, was deported with prior convictions for lewd acts against a child under 14 and illegal reentry . .

Another twice-deported Mexican national, 37, convicted of sexual indecency with a child and sexual assault of a child, was deported the same day.

On October 17, ORE Houston deported a 50-year-old Mexican national who had been deported three times and convicted of sexual indecency with a child, cocaine trafficking, two alcohol offenses, assault, illegal carrying of a weapon and illegal entry.

A 44-year-old Mexican gang member from Colonia Durango was deported Oct. 18 with prior convictions for aggravated sexual assault of a minor, sexual indecency with a child and theft (twice).

On October 22, a 33-year-old twice-deported Ecuadorian national was found guilty of illegal surveillance/installation of an imaging device for the purpose of sexual arousal in such a way as to injure a child under 17 and of illegal re-entry was expelled.

The next day, a 52-year-old Salvadoran national, deported twice, was convicted of indecent assault with a child, DWI, assault on a government employee, assault and illegal reentry.

To end the month, two Guatemalan nationals were deported on October 28; a 20-year-old convicted of sexual indecency with a child under 14 and a twice-deported 30-year-old convicted of incest with a minor under 13 and illegal reentry.

Bradford said his immigration officers “Living and raising families in this community” and “taking personal responsibility for their mission to protect the residents of Southeast Texas from dangerous criminal non-citizens like this.”

ERO Houston is responsible for immigration enforcement in 52 of Texas’ 254 counties. The office covers operations in a large part of southeast Texas, extending from Shelby and Hill counties to Refugio and Live Oak counties.
