Raj & DK’s ‘Honey Bunny’ Leads Prime Video’s Global Viewing (EXCLUSIVE)

Prime Video’s Indian spy series “Citadel: Honey Bunny” claimed the top spot as the most-watched streamer series globally during its launch weekend.

The show, which debuted on November 7, reached viewers in 200 countries and territories, ranking in the Top 10 in nearly 150 markets, including the United States, United Kingdom, France, Italy , Australia, Canada, Brazil and the United Arab Emirates. She was also #1. in Prime Video charts in India and over 30 countries across the world on launch day.

The series, directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK (together known as Raj & DK), stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha. Set in the 1990s, the spy thriller follows a stuntman and a struggling actress who become embroiled in espionage. “Citadel: Honey Bunny” also features an ensemble cast including Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem, Simran, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar and Kashvi Majmundar. The series is produced by D2R Films and Amazon MGM Studios.

The series marks the third installment in the “Citadel” universe, following the original series starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and the Italian spin-off “Citadel: Diana”. The flagship series “Citadel,” launching in 2023, has become Prime Video’s second most-watched new original series outside the United States.

The series is produced by AGBO of the Russo brothers. AGBO’s Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot and Scott Nemes, alongside David Weil, executive producers of “Citadel: Honey Bunny” and all series in the world of “Citadel.” Midnight Radio also serves as executive producer.

AGBO has expanded its global presence, with “Citadel” Season 2 currently in production in London under the direction of Joe Russo. The Russo brothers are also expected to return to Marvel, directing “Avengers: Doomsday” (May 2026) and “Avengers: Secret Wars” (May 2027).
