Conor Cummins signs for Burrows Engineering for the 2025 TT

Ramsey Rocket says he’s really excited to join the team

Manx TT star Conor Cummins will ride for the Burrows Engineering by RK Racing team at next year’s Isle of Man TT.

The Northern Ireland team have confirmed that the Ramsey Rocket will replace Dominic Herbertson.

He will ride a BMW M 1000 RR in the Superbike, Superstock and Senior races, and will also compete for the team in the two Supersport races.

John Burrows, team principal, said: “It’s a different type of signing for the team in 2025, but having Conor on board is something we’re all hugely excited about. We’ve known each other since 2006, when I was racing, and Conor was getting his first taste of Irish roads, and we’ve remained friends ever since. I never thought I’d have a conversation with him about signing for the team, but I’m glad it was. now official we are recruiting someone of Conor’s caliber.

“We are known for developing young talent and I am proud of the riders we have had on our bikes over the years, many of whom have achieved great things, but we also want results. Davey (Todd) has proven what we can do as a team when he finished second at the Macau Grand Prix last year and we hope to have similar performances now at the TT The fire has been well and truly lit inside Conor again. and he has a point to prove. He knows he has to ride regularly and we will give him all the tools he needs.

“Having Conor on board also strengthens our links with the island, with Charlotte Richardson, our RK Racing title sponsor also being Manx. She keeps the wheels turning so it’s a great tie for all parties. As a team , we are delighted to have such a quality driver with us and everything is going well. It suits everyone and as a team we are delighted to have signed Conor.

Cummins said: “John and I go back a long way to the days when I faced him on Irish roads and I have a lot of respect for him, both as a driver and team manager, so I’m delighted to have signed for the Burrows Engineering by RK Racing team I’ve obviously spent a lot of time on the Honda machines so the BMW will be a new challenge but I’ve seen up close how good it is. a solid package – the results at the TT speak for themselves – and after having a brief ride on the FHO Racing BMW at Armoy, I’m excited to ride John’s bike.

“The machine will be top quality and it’s a complete reset for me and a new chapter in my career. There’s no pressure from the team and John just wants me to enjoy riding his motorcycle, but we both have goals that we want to achieve The results will not be given to me and we will have to work hard, but getting back on the TT podium is where I want to be. The program is set and I. know where I’ll be and when I do, I’m really excited about our prospects for 2025.”

Cummins withdrew from this year’s TT midway through the event, ending an eight-year run with Milenco by Padgetts.
