Finally, you’ll soon be able to recreate feuds on the playground (and in the office) in the latest Pokémon app, like Pokémon TCG Pocket Trading is coming in the near future. Additionally, a new announcement reveals that other updates are also on the way.

Pokémon TCG Pocket social media accounts posted the announcement confirming that we will receive new updates in the future, including new boosters and other unannounced features. There is still a lot of potential Pokémon TCG Pocket Decks that we want to see in the game, so we’re excited.

The big news right now is that we finally know when we can trade Pokémon TCG Pocket Cards. Trading comes to the game in January 2025, initially with a limited number of cards on the list. The developer promises that the selection of tradeable cards will “gradually expand.” Although there are no trades that help evolve Pokémon here, we are sure that some questionable trade offers will be made very soon. And this? A Mankey for your Mewtwo EX?

Hopefully we will get even more desired features in the game, like some Pokémon TCG Pocket Codes to offer exclusive cards or items. But for now, we are very happy with the arrival of trading in the game. Since launch, the option has been in the game, just grayed out on the social tab.

The announcement thanks everyone for playing and enjoying the game, and promises that the team will “continue to develop and operate the game so that everyone can enjoy it even more.” This includes other upcoming in-game events.
