Among the most talked about Malayalam releases this year is the hit film Kishkindha Kaandam, directed by Dinjith Ayyathan and starring Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali and Vijayaraghavan. The film is all set to make its way to OTT after a bumper theatrical release. Initially released on September 12, perfectly timed with the Onam festivities, the film was produced on a reported budget of Rs 7 crore.

After its phenomenal theatrical run, the film’s digital release on Disney+ Hotstar is scheduled for November 19, exactly 68 days after its initial release. Fans will also have access to dubbed versions in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada, expanding the reach of this Malayalam hit.

Disney+ Hotstar teased fans with an Instagram post: “Lost memories. Hidden secrets. Kishkindha Kaandam will keep you in suspense till the end”, accompanied by a poster.

What really stands out about the success of Kishkindha Kaandam is how this modestly budgeted, character-driven drama has thrived in a market filled with high-octane releases like Thalapathy Vijay’s action-packed film , The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), the adventure of Tovino Thomas, Ajayante Randam Moshanam.
