A crackdown on delivery drivers in Thanet has resulted in five uninsured vehicles being seized by Kent Police.

On Friday, officers arrested 28 people who used cars and scooters for work and reminded them of “their responsibilities to drive safely and legally.”

The Interior Ministry also helped carry out checks on companies’ documents and insurance.

Seven people were reported for driving offenses including not having a license and not having a valid roadworthiness test, while a 38-year-old woman from Ramsgate, who was not a delivery driver, was arrested on suspicion of driving under drugs and driving without insurance, then released on bail.
