Delhi: Sisters from Vasundhara enclave hit neighbors, threaten ex-cop and damage properties – Delhi News

Two sisters residing in a residential complex in east Delhi’s Vasundhara enclave were arrested following a series of reckless and violent actions, including threatening an elderly man, locked up for hours and drove their car on campus, injuring people and damaging property.

The chaotic incident took place at Anekant Apartments, where CCTV footage showed the sisters, identified as Bhavya Jain and Charvi Jain, driving their car aggressively, hitting several people, including policemen, and damaging several vehicles .

The trouble began Friday evening when the sisters, who now have five lawsuits against them, allegedly honked their horns constantly at the complex. Seventy-year-old Ashok Sharma, a retired police officer and resident of the complex, approached them and asked them to stop. In response, the sisters, a day later, allegedly vandalized Sharma’s flower pots, entered his house and threatened him with a knife.

When police arrived to handle the situation, the sisters locked themselves in their apartment, refusing to come out for several hours. When they finally came out, they got in their car and drove recklessly around the complex. In doing so, they damaged several parked vehicles and injured several residents. They even hit a police vehicle and crossed the barrier at the gates of the residence.

Later, the troublemaking sisters were arrested by the Noida police.

This was not the first altercation involving the sisters. On September 5, Bhavya and Charbi allegedly called a society guard, Akhilesh Kumar, to their apartment on the pretext of checking the water and beat him up. Akhilesh was also burnt with a steam iron.

The police had registered a case following the incident and according to other reports, they refused to open their gate for days when officers tried to reach them.

The police were called, but the sisters locked them in their apartment again and did not let the police in, after which a complaint was filed against the two men.

Both sisters, university graduates, are currently unemployed.
