We still don’t know what Christopher Nolan’s next film will be about, but Robert Pattinson reunites with the filmmaker after Tenet

No matter what you thought of Tenet (2020) as a whole, you have to admit that Robert Pattinson’s mysteriously charming Neil was one of the best bits of that film. Luckily, a major collaboration with Christopher Nolan is happening again.

Although we have yet to learn about the actual plot (whether it’s about vampires or simply helicopter pilots), the cast of this mysterious next Nolan film will continue to grow and could be one of the hottest around. So far they are Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o and Zendaya.

Via The Hollywood Reporterwe’ve learned that Pattinson is the latest name added to the already impressive list. While other Hollywood actors have said he’s in negotiations, THR seems confident the actor is firmly joining the ensemble. “Sources say Damon, Holland, Hathaway and now Pattinson make up the main cast for the feature film.”

Once again, Nolan himself is writing the big-screen feature, which Universal has already dated for July 17, 2026, a date close to Oppenheimer’s 2023, an R-rated biopic that grossed $975 million. dollars worldwide and won seven Oscars earlier this year, including Best Picture and Best Director. There’s a good chance that Nolan will return to the “pure blockbuster” zone with his next project, but he’s still one of those filmmakers who always aims as high as he can, so we fully expect a strong twist /angle of everything he’s cooked now.

Pattinson’s next big feature film is Bong Joon-ho’s Mickey 17a film shot in 2022 and which will not arrive until April 18, 2025, after several strategic delays. As for The Batman Part IIIt appears that filming won’t happen until early next year due to scheduling conflicts and Matt Reeves devoting additional work to the script.

“Insiders contend nothing has come close to Nolan’s real idea,” THR added in its report, suggesting we may not know the true nature of the writer-director’s next venture until what the studio releases an official synopsis/logline. Do you want to take bets?
