The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said it will carefully review the summary of the final certified voters list for the upcoming general elections.

This summary was released by the Electoral Commission (EC) following the NDC’s request for additional data beyond the final register already shared with political parties.

In an interview with Citi News, Dr. Rashid Tanko Computer, Deputy Director of Elections and IT of the NDC, expressed concerns over inconsistencies in the data provided.

He specifically highlighted issues such as the unexplained deletion of some polling stations, saying the NDC would scrutinize the summary of the register to ensure that the EC addresses these discrepancies appropriately.

“We chose the register today with the summaries. We are therefore currently studying the register as a whole and comparing it with their summaries. And then we also demanded their regional summaries because what they gave us was the national synthesis. It did not include regional summaries.

“Well intentioned, we will look into this. Their separation of special electors from the main register. I mean, this is an innovation that they’re creating. Their statement indicated that they had destroyed some polling stations, which we are obviously not aware of.

“It’s a new thing they did. We studied it. We will look into it. And then we think we will make our verdict clearer very soon.
