Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin ” urges Democrats to change their message to say that “Republicans want to kill your children.”

On Tuesday’s show of her “Jen Rubin’s Green Room” podcastRubin insisted that Senate Republicans who accept President-elect Donald Trump’s nominations must pay a “political price.”

“People who irresponsibly place dangerous, treacherous and unfit people in positions of authority are responsible not only for those people, but for all the horrors that will happen,” she said. “And Democrats better start now tracking these people, holding them accountable, and making it clear to ordinary voters who voted for what and who is responsible for what.

To achieve this, Rubin advised: “You can’t go into general themes. You have to boil it down to practical details, and you have to be concise. What do I mean by concise? kill your children. This is actually true.

“If you oppose vaccinations, if you stop groundbreaking medical research, if you allow minors and all kinds of people to get semi-automatic weapons, which they use to shoot up schools, then you are responsible for children’s health and death, unfortunately it has to be that simple and straightforward, and it has to be repeated, over and over again,” Rubin continued.

Fox News Digital has contacted Rubin and The Post for comment.

Rubin even had harsh words for billionaire Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos after he cut off the paper’s support for Vice President Kamala Harris just days before the election: blowing up his “bulls—explanation”.

“First of all, I don’t believe the reason given. I don’t believe they suddenly decided – he suddenly decided that we should support everyone except the presidential candidates, and that of all elections, this is the one that starts this new politics,” Rubin said on his podcast in October. “We supported a 2020 presidential candidate without a problem. And I see that, and even if it’s not intentional, it’s inevitably seen as kneeling in front of Donald Trump at the worst possible time, when democracy is stake.”

“You have a billionaire who has a business outside of the Post and is doing business with the federal government deciding not to go up against a man who has declared war on democracy and the free press, and I still find absolutely inconceivable that someone who “If someone owned a newspaper, that’s what they would do,” Rubin continued.

“I’m also troubled by the fact that the reason given wasn’t straightforward, wasn’t accurate. Why mess around if you say, ‘Hey, I’m a businessman. I don’t want to support anyone because I don’t want to affect these businesses. Yes, everyone will be appalled, but at least you would be honest, at least you would take responsibility,” Rubin added.

“When a newspaper is forced to make bulls… explanation, what additional damage does that do to the Washington Post? But the problem goes well beyond Jeff Bezos and the Washington Postit goes beyond the LA Times. This goes beyond USA Today. It is about how free societies defend themselves against fascist threats. »
