Home Matches Only: Kaizer Chiefs November Fixtures

We cannot say that November will be an eventful month for Kaizer Chiefs. Amakhosi will only have two matches, thanks to their exit from Carling Knockout and the FIFA international break.

KAIZER CHEFS LIGHTING SCHEDULE

This week, only CAF Champions League and Betway Confederation Cup Premiership clubs will play local matches. The weekend will then see the Carling Knockout semi-finals take center stage ahead of two weeks of Bafana Bafana action.

Kaizer Chiefs will therefore return to action on the 27th before another match on the 30th. This means that Soweto Giants will only play two matches this month.

  • November 27: Kaizer Chiefs v Richards Bay – Peter Mokaba Stadium.
  • November 30: Kaizer Chiefs v Royal AM – FNB Stadium.

CARLING KNOCKOUT: KAIZER CHEFS 0-4 MAMELODI SUNDOWNS

Kaizer Chiefs had a night to forget last Saturday. Amakhosi are eliminated from the Carling Knockout after an annihilation of Mamelodi Sundowns. Coach Nasreddine Nabi has since apologized.

In what was a huge quarter-final match at the FNB Stadium, Sundowns striker Iqraam Rayners scored a quickfire double, followed by goals from Peter Shalulile and Khuliso Mudau.

APOLOGIES FROM NASREDDINE NABI

Speaking to SuperSport TV after the match, the Tunisian coach apologized to Kaizer Chiefs supporters before promising to improve.

“I would like to apologize to the Kaizer Chiefs fans for today. I’m sorry,” he said.

“Nothing worked today. From the back row to the last row. We tried to fight. Hard lesson. We have to lift our players up again. Back to the training ground,” Nabi concluded.

KAIZER CHEFS INJURY UPDATES

Elsewhere, Kaizer Chiefs are moving closer to welcoming back a trio of injured players.

Speaking to the media ahead of Saturday’s Carling Knockout quarter-final battle against Mamelodi sunsetscoach Nabi said Amakhosi had to watch out for the rushing of George Matlou, Mduduzi Mdantsane and Tebogo Potsane.

“It’s true that they have been injured for some time. All three have completed their rehabilitation and are currently training with the group,” Nabi said via FARPoste.

“They joined the group and are training. But we have to be very careful how we integrate them into official matches.

“For example, George has been absent for over a year; we need to give him time to train. We must give them time to participate in friendly matches and re-establish the link with teammates before thinking about integrating them into official matches,” concluded the Kaizer Chiefs mentor.
