Now the Mate X6, as many of you know, is the company’s upcoming book-style foldable flagship. According to the tipster, this phone will adopt a thin and light design. Huawei reportedly aims to make it noticeably thinner and lighter than the Mate X5.

The company also plans to use the Mate XT body materials here. In other words, durability could improve and leather could be found on the back of the device. Well, at least in some of its variations.

The Huawei Mate X5 arrived in September last year. This basically means it’s been over a year since the company announced it. We expected the Mate X6 to arrive in September this year, but that didn’t happen.

The Mate X6 still remains a mystery

Now, we don’t know much about the Huawei Mate X6. We expect it to feature a circular camera island on the back, with three cameras included inside.

Large displays are also expected, and both will likely be OLED panels. This smartphone will be powered by the Kirin chip, we just don’t know which one. The Huawei Mate 70 should arrive with the Kirin 9100then perhaps this is the one that Huawei will also use in this foldable.

However, no one knows when this phone will be launched. It could launch alongside the Huawei Mate 70 series this month. On the other hand, Huawei might have different plans and might announce them separately. We’ll just have to wait and see.
