Maharashtra Election Results Day: From Banks to Liquor Shops, What’s Open and What’s Closed Today, November 23

The results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections for 288 seats will be declared on November 23, for which voting was held on November 20. Pune Collector Suhas Diwase informed ANI that the administration was fully prepared for the results day.

Speaking to ANI on Thursday about preparations for the counting day, Diwase said, “The necessary barricades have been made. We are ready in terms of logistics. For accountwe have appointed micro-observers and counting supervisors.

Liquor stores

Furthermore, he said the counting of votes would begin with postal voting at 8 a.m. The pantry will be open an hour early to prepare for the process. “On average, 400 absentee ballots will be counted at each table,” Diwase added.

On Saturday, the sale of alcohol will be banned in the financial capital Mumbai and other cities of Maharashtra. According to the Election Commission of India, the sale of alcoholic beverages will be prohibited until 6 p.m. on the day of counting.

Most exit polls predict that the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance would most likely form the government, while others predict a close fight.

Banks

Banks will be closed on November 23 as it is the fourth Saturday. If a person needs to go to the bank to complete work or a banking transaction this week, this can only be done on November 25 or later. THE bank branches will remain closed on Sunday.

However, bank customers will be able to access banking services through internet, SMS and WhatsApp for financial and non-financial transactions.

Sotck exchange

The Indian Stock Exchange will be closed on November 23. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed on Saturday due to the weekend.

Roads

Mumbai Traffic Police will enforce temporary traffic restrictions on November 23 from 1 am to 11 pm in view of counting of votes for the Maharashtra assembly elections. Commuters should follow designated alternate routes to avoid delays.
