A report was issued at 8:15 a.m. EDT Wednesday from the National Weather Service of gusty showers through 8:45 a.m. EDT for Keweenaw, Houghton and Baraga counties.

Residents should prepare for wind gusts of up to 55 mph.

“At 8:15 a.m., Doppler radar detected gusty showers along a line extending from near Eagle Harbor in Dollar Bay to 9 miles south of South Range. The movement was eastward at 45 mph,” the weather service says. “Gusts of wind could bring down tree branches and blow around unsecured objects.”
