Hyundai Nishat recently showcased its latest addition to the hybrid lineup, the locally assembled 7th generation Hyundai Elantra Hybrid, at PAPS 2024.

Anticipation had been building for months when test units of the new model were spotted in Balochistan.

Soon after, Hyundai Pakistan shared a teaser image hinting at the car’s premium interior, and now all the details have been revealed.

Engine and power:

The Elantra Hybrid is powered by Hyundai’s smart stream 1.6L GDI Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder engine paired with a permanent magnet synchronous motor.

This efficient hybrid system offers a combined output of 139 hp and 264 Nm of torque, thanks to a powerful lithium-ion polymer battery with a capacity of 1.32 kWh and an output of 42 kW.

The engine generates a maximum power of 33 kW (43 hp) and 170 Nm of torque, providing drivers with a balanced blend of power and fuel economy.

Exterior design

Hyundai’s new Elantra Hybrid has undergone a design transformation, embodying the company’s latest parametric design language.

The front fascia of the car features wraparound LED headlights and a prominent parametric pattern grille, giving it a refined and striking look.

At the rear, a single LED taillight bar spans the entire width of the vehicle, enhancing its modern profile.

The car’s sloping rooflines and sculpted creases reflect Hyundai’s contemporary styling, while the 16-inch alloy wheels and unique trim on the rear window pillars add even more sophistication.

Dimensionally, the Elantra Hybrid sits comfortably within the C-segment sedan category. It measures 4,710 mm in length, 1,825 mm in width and 1,430 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,720 mm, offering a spacious yet maneuverable profile for city and highway driving.

The driver’s seat has 8 power adjustments and height adjustment for both front seats, ensuring maximum comfort.
