Trump reaffirms he will end Ukraine conflict and prevent world war if elected – World

NEW YORK, November 5. /TASS/. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump reiterated his promise to end the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and prevent a world war if he wins today’s election.

“I will end the war in Ukraine, which would never have started if I had been president,” Trump said while addressing supporters in Michigan. The rally was broadcast by RSBNa conservative media.

“I will end the chaos in the Middle East <...> and prevent a third world war,” Trump added, emphasizing his diplomatic relations with world leaders.

Throughout his campaign, Trump pledged to resolve the Ukraine conflict even before his inauguration, if he regained the White House. However, he has yet to reveal details of his proposed peace plan. Russian President Vladimir Putin has outlined the conditions imposed by Russia to end the Ukrainian conflict, including the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donbass and Novorossiya, as well as kyiv’s renunciation of NATO membership. Russia also demands the lifting of all Western sanctions and Ukraine’s commitment to remaining non-aligned and denuclearized.

The United States will hold its elections on November 5, with voters choosing the president, governors of 11 states and two U.S. territories, one-third of the Senate and all members of the House of Representatives. Trump, who served as the 45th president from 2017 to 2021, faces Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, vice president since January 2021. Trump, after losing the 2020 election to Joe Biden, is now seeking to return to the House White.
