Minnesota Vikings tight end TJ Hockenson is set to make his return to action after missing the first eight weeks of the 2024 season due to ACL rehab.

Hockenson was injured late in the 2023 season, but he went from questionable to off injury report in recent weeks, preparing him to make his season debut on Sunday Night Football against the Indianapolis Colts.

Last season, Hockenson was a target in Kevin O’Connell’s offense, hauling in 95 receptions on 127 targets in 15 games.

Hock averaged 53.5 receiving yards per game, so he’s a bit undervalued based on those numbers in his season debut.

The question is, how involved will Hockenson be in a passing offense that has relied heavily on Justin Jefferson in recent weeks?

I don’t mind taking an OVER on one of Hockenson’s props, but bettors should be careful that he may see fewer snaps as the team looks to get him back in action. Since we have no data on Hock playing with Sam Darnold, there is an obvious risk with him in the prop market.
