Capcom assures Monster Hunter Wilds launch will improve over beta

THE Wild Monster Hunters the beta is not going well on PC. Although it has attracted a colossal number of players, there are myriad reports of crashes, bugs, and graphical issues across the board. However, the full launch is still four months away and Capcom assures us that we’ll be playing a very different game in 2025. If you’ve been playing on PC, that might seem like a tall order. However, I wouldn’t worry too much about your beta experience, as there are already a handful of fixes for all those PS1-looking faces.

With the Monster Hunter Wilds release date When we arrived, we were all clamoring to get our hands on the demo. THE Monster Hunter Wilds Beta has been so huge in fact that it has already eclipsed World and Rise in terms of players. Yes, this is a limited time free version, but the scale of Wild Monster Hunters is already a good sign for the launch.

Which is not a good sign for the future RPG is the overall performance of the PC. We were faced with horrible low-poly character models, graphical glitches, crashes, and an increasing number of small glitches. Capcom is aware of the PC issues and is committed to ensuring a better full launch while providing help for some of the biggest issues in the beta.

“The purpose of this test is to allow players to experience a limited portion of Monster Hunter Wilds and also to check various technical aspects such as network load and overall operation before the full release of the game,” writes Capcom.

“Please note that the final product is still in development. Some aspects such as game specifications and balancing may differ in the full version. We are committed to guaranteeing the quality of the final product.

Capcom also notes that repeatedly changing the scaling mode on Nvidia DLSS increases VRAM usage. This can lead to crashes, so it is advisable to restart your PC if DLSS is a problem. This isn’t the only major issue, as Capcom is aware that, for some, Wilds won’t even start properly. “If this is not resolved by updating your graphics card driver to the latest version, please try a clean reinstallation of the driver,” the team advises.

Monster Hunter Wilds PC Beta: A Steam post on the current status of the MHW beta

Although the overall performance of Wilds on PC leaves a lot to be desired, we have the Best Monster Hunter Wilds Settings to improve your time in the beta. Using frame generation, with Nvidia DLSS or AMD FSR, proves to be a huge performance boon. Capcom notes that some afterimage noise can occur when using frame generation, so you should be aware of the tradeoff. You need the highest end of high end GPUs to even get frame generation as a feature anyway, but the System Requirements for Monster Hunter Wilds already asks a lot of your rig.

Capcom is offering the Monster Hunter Wilds beta until Sunday, November 3 at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m., which is also Monday, November 4 at 3 a.m. GMT / 2 p.m. AEDT.

As you start killing in the beta, make sure you understand how the Monster Hunter Wilds Focus Mode the mechanic works and review how Monster Hunter Wilds Crossplay works so you can play with friends.
