Black Ops 6’s map is called ‘the worst ever’ for trapping spawns, but some players love it

Call of Duty players exploring Black Ops 6’s multiplayer over launch weekend took to the air to share their thoughts on the suite of multiplayer maps, one in particular proving highly controversial.

Designed for 6v6 play, Babylon is a bespoke arena never seen in previous CoD, but shares DNA with Shippinga popular and frequently used close combat card that has become a mainstay of the Modern Warfare sub-series.

Naturally, smaller maps increase the likelihood that the spawn trap will become a problem, and this is precisely what has prompted some players to criticize Babylon.

“Probably the worst map ever made for spawn trapping,” a highly upvoted thread on the Subreddit BO6 » claimed without further comment, although the responses were available to provide context.

“There is one spawn point in particular where if you get trapped there is no escape because five or six deaths in a row,” was one response. “I just got stuck there. I died four times in a row upon my appearance. Worst CoD map,” another frustrated user wrote.

Babylon is a main map in Black Ops 6 designed for 6v6 play.

Spawn trapping refers to the process by which a team intentionally or inadvertently camps specific sections of a map, which then locks the opposition to known spawn points.

If done correctly, the trapped opposing team forcibly reappears in a section of the map left unoccupied, allowing the aggressor to repeatedly kill the trapped team, thus preventing any counterplay.

However, among the complaints, many were of the opposite opinion, with some even calling it one of the best in Black Ops 6.

“I’m a proven CoD brain rot player and I love Babylon, I get excited every time I get into a match,” was one comment.

Others wondered how widespread the negativity was since, in their experience, Babylon was frequently upvoted in multiplayer lobbies. “If it’s the worst card, then why do people vote for it every time? »

The maps available in any Call of Duty always have their lovers and their enemies, and that will be fascinating to see, once the dust settles. Black Ops 6’s honeymoon period has settled, where the consensus on Babylon lands.
