Nearly 60% of absentee bales issued in Montana returned

With six days left until Election Day, the Montana Secretary of State’s Office reports voters have returned 312,814 absentee ballots to county election offices as of 10:45 pm on Tuesday.

That represents 59.10% of 529, 290 ballots that were issued to voters.

Counties that lead in percent of ballots returned include: Garfield with 68.43%, Golden Valley with 67.38%, Stillwater with 66.42%, Carter with 65.60%, Judith Basin with 65.23%.

Counties that have the lowest percentage of bales returned include: Glacier with 45.28%, Big Horn with 48.34%, Roosevelt with 50.99%, Wheatland with 52.27% and Gallatin with 52.74%.

Ballots must be received by 8 pm on Nov. 5, General Election Day.
