MISSOULA, Mont. — With six days left until Election Day, the Montana Secretary of State’s Office reports voters have returned 312,814 absentee ballots to county election offices as of 10:45 pm on Tuesday.

That represents 59.10% of 529, 290 ballots that were issued to voters.

Counties that lead in percent of ballots returned include: Garfield with 68.43%, Golden Valley with 67.38%, Stillwater with 66.42%, Carter with 65.60%, Judith Basin with 65.23%.

Counties that have the lowest percentage of bales returned include: Glacier with 45.28%, Big Horn with 48.34%, Roosevelt with 50.99%, Wheatland with 52.27% and Gallatin with 52.74%.

Ballots must be received by 8 pm on Nov. 5, General Election Day.
