A schoolboy who attacked two students with a hammer at a Devon boarding school has been named after a judge lifted an order preventing his identification.

Thomas Wei Huang, 17, was jailed for life with a minimum sentence of 12 years after attempting to kill three people at Blundell School in Tiverton.

He attacked two housemates, then aged 15 and 16, as they slept in the early hours of June 9, 2023, leaving them seriously injured.

He also attacked the householder Henry Roffe-Silvester, who suffered six head wounds.
