Harry issued warning as Trump prepares to take control | Royal | News

Prince Harry received a chilling warning just days after Donald Trump was elected president of the United States this week.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, crossed the Atlantic for the first time to America in 2020 after stepping back from life as a senior member of the royal family with his wife. Meghan Markle.

His visa was approved at the time, but revelations about his past drug use in his explosive memoir Spare last year sparked debate, with think tank The Heritage Foundation saying the prince had been treated differently from ordinary citizens.

While the foundation’s lawsuit ended in September, the visa row is still ongoing as the group attempts to establish what the prince wrote on his visa application.

Now, Trump’s return to the White House could make things difficult for the Duke of Sussex, should the Heritage Foundation try again to reinstate what Harry wrote on his visa documents. The president-elect has previously voiced his dislike for the 40-year-old duke and his wife, 43, saying he was not a “fan” of hers. He also vowed not to protect Harry in his visa row and to take any “appropriate” action if the prince had not been honest in his visa application.

Today, Mike Howell, director of the Oversight Project, the investigative arm of the foundation, said the prince “needs to go.”

According to the Daily MailHowell said: “Markle can stay. He has to leave.

Despite concerns for the prince, a friend of Prince Harrytold the Daily Mail that the Duke wanted to stay in California, a place he now considers home. As of 2020, he lives in an £11 million mansion in Montecito with his wife and their children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

The friend reportedly said: “Harry is in California. This is his home and where he plans to live indefinitely – with Meghan.

“They are very happy in California. They are both focused on the work they do here.

Prince Harry and Meghan didn’t address Donald Trump’s election victory this week.

They have also refrained from making any political comments during this election campaign, following their 2020 remarks in which they urged voters not to “reject hate speech.”

Although they did not name Trump at the time, some commentators argued that the comment could be directed against the current president-elect and in favor of Joe Biden.
