Asmongold baffled after being instantly banned from Dragon Age subreddit

Asmongold was left stunned after he was instantly banned from the Dragon Age subreddit when he tried to post a message.

In a clip published on November 1 on the streamer’s website secondary YouTube channela user on his community subreddit claimed that any Reddit account subscribed to u/Asmongold was automatically blocked from posting to the Dragon Age subreddit.

“I just got automatically banned from the Dragon Age sub because I was also subscribed to Asmongold,” the user said, adding “They (the subreddit moderators) felt that I violated the community rules My comment was about how long it took to go through the Inquisition story.

Eager to test the theory for himself, Asmon then wrote his own post on the same subreddit titled “I’m Really Excited for Dragon Age Veilguard“, followed by “This is my first Dragon Age game and I’m curious to see what all the hype is about.”

Immediately after posting the message, the thread was automatically restricted, “Waiting for moderator approval”, only to be deleted entirely moments later.

Confused by the situation, Asmon then received a message from the Dragon Age subreddit’s moderation team informing him that he had been “permanently banned from participating in r/dragonage” due to violating the “rules of the community.”

Specifically, the moderators confirmed that “Due to too many repeated violations of our rules of civility and bigotry by users in this community (Asmongold), we have decided to automatically revoke access to our subreddit as a preventative measure so that our community as a whole can focus on actual criticism of the game without getting involved in the war against “woke culture.”
