“Yellowstone” and the Duttons are almost back.

Paramount Network announced in June that the second part of season 5 will air on Sunday, November 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Internationally, the show will premiere on Paramount+ in Canada on November 10, in the United Kingdom on November 11, and in Latin America, Brazil and France at a later date.

The hit series tells the story of the Dutton family, who control the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. Kevin Costner played family patriarch John Dutton III before announcing in June that he would not return for the second half of season 5.

“Amidst shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds and hard-won respect – the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – a growing town, an Indian reservation and America’s first national park. America,” reads the series’ synopsis.

Here’s what you need to know about “Yellowstone” Season 5 Part 2, including a quick teaser and its premiere date.

Behind-the-Scenes Look at ‘Yellowstone’ Season 5, Part 2

THE official YouTube channel of the show released a behind-the-scenes look at how the cast and crew prepared for season 5.

Why did Kevin Costner leave ‘Yellowstone’?

“I just wanted to let you know that I’m not coming back,” Costner said in a video posted to his Instagram and social media pages the same day Paramount Network announced the Nov. 10 premiere date for the final episodes of “Yellowstone.” .

In an interview the day after his viral video was released, Costner told USA TODAY that he was tired of hoping for a “Yellowstone” comeback when asked about the series during his long tour media to promote its Western film series Horizon.

Media inquiries about John Dutton’s return were “the predominant question that came up in almost every interview,” Costner said.

“With all the questions that were being asked (about Yellowstone), the more I thought about it…I just wanted to say it’s a starting point,” Costner said. “Everything I hoped for might not have been planned. I don’t want to keep saying, ‘Yeah, I hope I can do that.’ It has drifted to a point that I no longer think is realistic.”

Costner said there was no specific act in his comeback talks with Paramount Studios and executive producer Taylor Sheridan to trigger the impromptu video. He didn’t want to expect optimism that didn’t exist.

“I just wanted to get it done,” Costner said of making the video. “I’m not a machine trying to figure this out. But I’m not a person who leaves people high and dry.”
