THE best mattresses for side sleepers are on the plush side, as side sleepers need padded pressure relief along the shoulders, hips, and knees (key pressure points when sleeping on their side). Those who are lighter (anyone weighing less than 130 pounds) will also need something softer, as their lightweight bodies won’t sink too deeply, even into a soft mattress.
