THE OnePlus 13 may be able to tell you its location even when it’s turned off, depending on findings made by Mishaal Rahman and the Android Authority in the OxygenOS 15 beta.

The changelog for the latest OxygenOS 15 beta initially suggested that the OnePlus 12 now supported Powered Off Finding, a feature built into Android’s Find My Device app. Unfortunately, the feature doesn’t actually work and the changelog has since been modified. But its presence led Rahman to other discoveries.

THE OnePlus 12 can’t use Powered Off Finding simply because their hardware doesn’t support it. A phone Bluetooth The chip must be specially designed to continue working after the phone is turned off in order for offline search to work. And the Snapdragon 8 generation 3 The OnePlus 12 chipset is not capable of this.
