Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles responds to claims the singer received $10 million for Kamala Harris rally

Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, sets the record straight. The 70-year-old recently took to Instagram to debunk rumors circulating online that her daughter was paid $10 million to appear at the Houston rally of the Vice President of the United States and then-Democratic presidential candidate , Kamala Harris, in October.

Not only Beyoncé, but celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Megan Thee Stallion, and Cardi B have also faced similar accusations. Several celebrities have come forward to denounce such information.

Did Beyoncé Pay $10 Million for the Harris Rally?

Beyoncé’s mother set the record straight on Monday (November 18) by taking to Instagram to denounce the baseless rumors and stating that Queen Bey did not receive any money for attending the gathering. Speaking on her social media on November 18, the Maison Deréon founder wrote: “So this was reported on Instagram as fake news and removed. It’s called False Information,” alongside a screenshot of a blurred message originally shared on political commentator Candace Owens’ podcast account. She added: “Unfortunately, other platforms lacking integrity still do.”

“The lie is that Beyoncé was paid $10 million to speak at a rally in Houston in support of Vice President Kamala Harris,” continued. “Beyonce didn’t get a cent for speaking at presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris’ rally in Houston.” ‘

According to Knowles, the singer even paid for the plane tickets, her crew and her glam out of her own pocket, echoing Cardi B’s recent remarks when she called out Owens for questioning the payment rumor.

“They are not only lying and disrespecting Beyoncé’s name, but they are also trying to undermine the power of our Vice President!” Cardi B said and added: “When will these lies and rumors end? Of course you won’t hear about it in the newspapers!!!!

Other celebrities accused of being paid to support Harris’ campaign

In October, Beyoncé joined fellow Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland at Harris’ campaign event to show her support for the Democratic candidate ahead of the November 5 US presidential election. This was followed by Oprah Winfrey’s appearance at the town hall for the campaign. Several other Hollywood stars, such as Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Jennifer Lopez and John Legend, also lent their support to Harris through her campaign. However, despite this wave of support, the outgoing vice president ultimately lost to her Republican rival Donald Trump.

Now, some of these stars have been accused of being paid to make these appearances.

In response to Knowles’ post, John Legend who appeared at the Philadelphia event commented, “Let ’em know, Ms. Tina! We all performed/appeared for free because we care about the future of our nation.

Earlier, Beyoncé also slammed the critics in a post saying, “I didn’t get a dollar, and that’s out of my three!! I actually went out of my way for glamor and travel because it’s a place I wanted to be. Like, please, girl, you know damn well I’m going to criticize you on politics for FREE.

“I didn’t get a cent. For the September live stream event, my production company Harpo was asked to bring in the set design, lights, cameras, crew, producers and anything else needed (including benches and benches). chairs on which we were sitting) to broadcast a live. production. I took no personal costs,” Winfrey reportedly wrote on social media, rejecting similar claims. “However, the people who worked on this production had to be paid. And we were. End of story,” she added.
