Importance of Angarki Chaturthi in the month of Kartik

Place a clean cloth on an altar and install the idol of Lord Ganesha. Offer flowers, incense and other items to Ganapati. Light a ghee lamp and perform an aarti. Recite mantras and the Ganesh Chalisa and pray to Lord Ganesh for happiness, prosperity and wealth. Offer fruits, modaks and sweets to Ganesh and distribute prasad to others. Give red lentils and honey.
