The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 is scheduled for November 24. The test is organized by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta and will be conducted in three sessions in a single day. IIM Calcutta has already issued the admit cards which can be downloaded from iimcat.ac.in. These hall tickets contain details such as candidate names, application numbers, exam dates and times, and exam center details.

CAT 2024: exam schedule

The CAT 2024 will take place over three different time slots:

Session 1: 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Session 2: 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Session 3: 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

CAT 2024: Required documents

Candidates must bring the following items to the exam center:

CAT 2024 Admit Card: It should be printed on A4 size paper containing specifically important information including the candidate’s name, an application number, exam date and time of presentation.

Valid Photo Identity Proof: Only an Aadhaar card, PAN card or Indian passport is considered a valid identity proof.

Scribe’s Affidavit: Applicable only to candidates who require assistance in taking the examination.

Candidates are also encouraged to affix a recent photograph in their admit card which should be similar to the one they have submitted in their application form.

CAT 2024: Prohibited items

To maintain a secure testing environment, candidates are prohibited from bringing the following items into the exam room:

— Mobile phones and Bluetooth devices

— Electronic devices (including watches)

— Metal jewelry and thick-soled shoes

— Bags, food products and drinks

— Clothing with large buttons or pockets

Candidates are also strictly advised not to carry personal stationery items. Only materials provided by the examination authority will be permitted – pen and notepad.

CAT 2024: Guidelines for exam day

— You must carry your admit card and any photo identification proof with you when you leave for the exam center.

— Make sure to arrive at the venue 45 minutes early, just in case of a rush.

— Pay attention to the supervisors’ instructions or those written on the admission card.

— Avoid last-minute cramming, as this may cause anxiety for some or all parties involved. Instead, focus on light revision and make sure you are well rested for the exam.

— Don’t ignore the instructions given for this year’s CAT. This means having an idea of ​​how to handle the online testing interface.
