DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) — All but one lane of the northbound 110 Freeway was closed Tuesday morning in downtown Los Angeles due to a crash that left one person dead.

The crash was reported on 3rd Street around 5 a.m. According to the California Highway Patrol, a car stalled and passed out in the middle of the highway when it was struck by other vehicles.

AIR7 was above the stage where there was heavy reinforcement for the morning commuters.

It is unclear when the northbound lanes will reopen.
