This $4.7 million Seattle houseboat has a hot tub

In the 1920s, fishermen and boat builders took up residence in simple houseboats along the shores of Lake Union in SeattleWashington. Since then, the 580-acre lake has become a home to luxurious floating homes offering impressive waterfront views and modern amenities. One of the area’s floating homes went on the market earlier this year for $2.5 million; now, another is up for grabs for $4.65 million, including a variety of custom millwork and a 46-foot boat mooring.

Built in 1982, the two-story residence is one of 20 floating homes located in the 1.5-acre Roanoke Reef enclave in the Eastlake neighborhood. The rustic green exterior is complemented by copper accents. Inside, the open floor plan offers two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms in 1,773 square feet of living space. Honduras mahogany millwork and wood windows are a few other key features that highlight the city skyline and Gas Works Park views from every level.

Downstairs, a spacious hallway with shelves for displaying knick-knacks and keepsakes leads to the master suite. The bedroom isn’t the most exciting space, but it’s spacious with a built-in dressing room and a slate-tiled bathroom with a rain shower. The second bedroom has two built-in desk spaces for working, and just outside on a small deck is the hot tub. The lower level is completed by a laundry room and a powder room.
