Arcane Season 2 “Trippy” Scene Could Confirm Viktor and Jayce Fan Theory

In Arcane Season 2 Episode 3, Hextech takes a life of its own, sending Jayce, Ekko, and Heimerdinger plummeting through other dimensions. It’s so trippy you may have missed a photo that supports a fan theory of Arcana first chapter.

Viktor and Jayce disagreed over the potential dangers of Hextech technology, which has reached new heights in Arcane Season 2 Part 1 when Jayce uses the Hexcore to save Viktor against his will.

After Viktor leaves the project for good, Jayce ends up helping Ekko and Heimerdinger figure out what is damaging the sacred Firelights tree, taking them to the Hexgate underground security system.

Wild Rune in Arcane Season 2

Before they can investigate further, a wild rune – an unpredictable manifestation of magic apparently resulting from Jayce and Viktor’s attempts to harness the arcane – transports the trio to another realm.

When Jayce touches the anomaly, it seems to create a divide between the material and spiritual worlds, resulting in by far Arcane’s trippiest scene as they are plunged into magical chaos.

But here we’ll focus on the clips from the flashback we first saw in Arcane Season 1 Episode 2, when a young Jayce and his mother were saved from a snowstorm by a mysterious mage who used magic to transport them to a sunny meadow.

This is ultimately what sparked his interest in harnessing Hextech power after the stranger, whose face is never shown, offered Jayce a rune.

Although it is widely believed that the savior is League of Legends wizard Ryze, there is growing evidence to suggest that this could be a time-traveling Viktor.

After all, in Arcana Season 2 Episode 1, Viktor merges with the Hexcore and now wields all sorts of powers at his fingertips. Additionally, when he emerges from his magical cocoon, Viktor gives him a hooded cape, much like the one the sorcerer wore.

He also has a staff that he takes with him when he embarks on a new path in Arcane, becoming a healer in the underground city affected by Shimmer. Just like the mysterious wizard, Viktor uses his powers to help others.

And given the arcane’s ability to manipulate space and time, could it be that Viktor traveled back in time to save the child Jayce and his mother?

The theory has been put forward by a number of viewers, with one detailing why they think this could be the case. Take to Redditthey wrote: “The hooded figure who saved Jayce as a child is not who we think.

Viktor in Arcane Season 2

Viktor merged with Hexcore

“Theory: Kid Jayce was not saved by Ryze, but by time-traveling Viktor. Hear me out here, I promise this will make sense in a second.

First, they shared a number of reasons why the stranger may not have been Ryze, including “he doesn’t have the scroll”; “Ryze would never give an outsider an artifact like a Hextech gem”; and “he is VERY SUSPICIOUSLY hooded”.

As for why it might be Viktor, they explained that he “fully supports finding dangerous artifacts to progress, unlike Ryze!” He would like little Jayce to discover Hextech.

Although Viktor is not a fan of the Hexcore due to the dangers it poses, now that it has merged with the technology, its creation could be essential to his long-term survival.

There is also another piece of evidence: Jayce was with Ekko and Heimerdinger at the time of the discovery. Given that League of Legends’ Ekko creates Z-Drive, a device that allows him to rewind his own timeline, could this be the key to Viktor moving backwards?

“Ekko will develop the Z-drive in season 2,” the Redditor added. “And would it be such a stretch to assume Viktor gets his hands on it or builds his own version?”

Of course, at this point, this is all speculation. But in the world of Arcane, nothing is beyond the realm of possibility, with Season 2 only reinforcing the idea.

Arcane Season 2 Part 1 is streaming on Netflix now, with Part 2 releasing November 16. If you’ve already seen it or don’t mind spoilers, check out our decomposition of the end. You can also read on the “Vander is Warwick” theory And who is “Baby Jinx”.
