One or two stray storms possible this evening

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – Hello Texoma! Today will start with morning temperatures above 40 degrees, and we will warm up to 60 and 70 degrees this afternoon. The sky will be partly cloudy at the start of the day and will become mostly cloudy this evening. We will be dry during the day, but storm chances return this evening.

The first Texoma rain/storms in the region could occur around 7 p.m. for west Texoma, and this activity could continue until around 3 a.m. tomorrow. Severe weather risks are low, but we cannot rule out a storm reaching severe condition, capable of producing quarter-sized hail and 60 mph winds. Storm activity will be widely dispersed across the region, so most of Texoma will be dry this evening.

Rain activity will dissipate with a cold front passing through early Wednesday morning, and we will see a slight drop in temperatures Wednesday and Thursday. High temperatures both days will be in the mid 60s with mostly sunny skies.

Next weekend will warm up again as temperatures climb back into the 70s. Friday and Saturday will be dry, but the forecast for Sunday is a little uncertain. We could see rain late Sunday, or rain could wait until Monday. We’ll have more clarity as we move forward, so be sure to check back for updates!

Have a great Tuesday!
